The iFi Audio iDSD Phantom is an uncompromising all-in-one reference solution that combines a high-end DAC, an ultra-resolution streamer, and an exceptionally powerful headphone amplifier in one elegantly designed component. At its heart is iFi's proprietary Crysopeia FPGA engine, which brings DSD2048 remastering to the living room for the first time. Previously reserved for professional mastering studios, this technology converts any incoming audio signal to an extremely high-quality DSD format, audibly increasing micro-detail, dynamics, and naturalness. Four Burr-Brown DSD1793 DACs operate in a special interleaved design for native processing up to DSD2048, resulting in an exceptionally low noise floor and a refined, analog presentation.

The iDSD Phantom offers three distinctly different sound characters in a single device. In solid-state Class A mode, discrete J-FETs provide maximum speed, precision, and control. In tube mode, hand-selected and matched NOS GE5670 tubes deliver a smooth, harmonically rich reproduction. Those who want even more warmth can activate Tube+, which further amplifies the second harmonic for a pronounced analog character. You can switch between these modes in real time, allowing you to perfectly tailor the sound to your headphones, music, and personal preferences.

The Phantom is also fully up to date in terms of streaming. Thanks to the latest streaming engine, it supports Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay 2, among others, with improved stability, higher resolution, and a refined user experience. The updated Nexis app makes operation intuitive and flexible, wherever you are in your home.

The headphone amplifier section is exceptionally powerful and versatile. With a power output of up to 4,676 mW RMS and a peak output of no less than 7,747 mW, the iDSD Phantom effortlessly drives even the most demanding headphones, from sensitive in-ears to heavy planar magnetics, with complete control and authority.

In collaboration with JVCKENWOOD, K2 and K2HD technology has also been integrated, restoring lost harmonic information in digital recordings. This ensures a more natural timbre and a reproduction that is closer to the original master recording. In addition, XBass Pro and XSpace Pro further refine the listening experience: XBass Pro amplifies the bass in a controlled manner, while XSpace Pro detaches the music from the head and creates a more speaker-like spaciousness. Various digital filters offer additional options for precisely adjusting timing and sound balance.
