FIIO LINK TWS (UTWS17)

The FIIO LINK TWS (UTWS17) gives in-ear monitors with a detachable cable the freedom of wireless listening, without compromising sound quality. Thanks to years of experience with wireless headphone amplifiers, the LINK TWS combines the ease of use of a true wireless solution with sound quality that comes very close to that of a wired hi-fi setup.

The earbuds use contactless wireless charging technology, preventing issues such as oxidation and contamination of charging contacts. In addition, the earbuds turn on automatically when removed from the charging case and turn off as soon as they are stored. The IPX4 rating provides extra protection against sweat and splashes.

The compact housing houses a complete hi-fi DAC and headphone amplifier architecture. The Qualcomm QCC5181 Bluetooth chip processes the audio signal, after which two separate AK4333 DACs—one per channel—handle the digital conversion and amplification. Thanks to this dual-DAC configuration and the integrated VELVET SOUND technology, a detailed and natural sound reproduction is achieved.

The powerful amplifier delivers up to 85 mW at 32 ohms, allowing even demanding in-ear monitors to be driven effortlessly. With a signal-to-noise ratio of over 111 dB and extremely low distortion, a clear and dynamic sound is achieved.

The dual Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset features a powerful quad-core architecture with integrated Kalimba DSPs, allowing for effortless processing of complex audio files and multitasking. Additionally, the LINK TWS supports Snapdragon Sound technology for a high-quality wireless listening experience with compatible devices.

Bluetooth 6.0 forms the basis for the wireless connection and supports a wide range of high-quality codecs, including aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, LHDC V5, aptX, and SBC. This enables high-resolution wireless transmissions with a bitrate of up to 1.2 Mbps, allowing music to be reproduced with exceptional detail and dynamics.

For gamers, aptX Adaptive support offers a dedicated low-latency mode, minimizing delays and ensuring optimal synchronization between video and audio.

The LINK TWS features a dual-microphone configuration per ear hook, combined with advanced CVC noise cancellation and support for aptX Voice. This effectively suppresses ambient noise and keeps conversations clear and intelligible, even in noisy environments.

The spacious charging case offers ample room for the ear hooks and a wide range of in-ear monitors. An integrated OLED screen displays information about the connection status and remaining battery capacity at a glance. The ear hooks offer up to approximately eight hours of use per charge, while the combination with the charging case enables a total battery life of approximately twenty hours.

Both MMCX and 0.78 mm 2-pin adapters are included as standard, making a single set of ear hooks compatible with various types of detachable in-ear monitors. The high-quality cabling with silver-plated monocrystalline copper conductors contributes to optimal signal transmission.

Weighing only about 8 grams per side and featuring a skin-friendly nano-coating, the ear hooks are designed for long-lasting comfort. Thanks to their ergonomic shape, they stay securely in place, even during sports activities.

The large physical control buttons allow for easy control of music playback, volume, and track selection. The FIIO Control app also offers extensive features, including a 10-band parametric equalizer, channel balance, multipoint connections, Hi-Fi and gaming modes, and OTA firmware updates. This allows you to tailor the listening experience entirely to your own preferences.
