FIIO JT9 (Jade Audio JT9)

The FIIO JT9 is an open-back planar magnetic headphone featuring a newly developed 95 × 86 mm planar driver. The large driving surface is combined with a diaphragm just 1 μm thick and a dual coating of sapphire and aluminum. As a result, the JT9 delivers a fast, detailed sound with deep bass and an open, spacious soundstage.

The planar driver, developed specifically for the JT9, uses an ultra-thin diaphragm measuring just 1 micrometer. The low moving mass ensures a fast response and makes it possible to accurately track small details and rapid changes in the music.

FIIO applies a dual coating of sapphire and aluminum. The sapphire coating increases the diaphragm’s rigidity, while aluminum ensures good electrical conductivity. Furthermore, a precise 28nm process is used in production, allowing the voice coil structure to be applied with great precision.

Uniform Magnetic Field

A patented magnet design ensures a strong and uniform magnetic field across the driver’s surface. This allows the large diaphragm to move as uniformly as possible, which helps minimize distortion and contributes to a controlled and natural sound reproduction.

With a sensitivity of 95 dB/mW, the JT9 is also relatively easy to drive for a planar headphone. A smartphone paired with a compact USB DAC/headphone amplifier is therefore sufficient to get the most out of the JT9.

Lightweight and Foldable

Despite its large planar drivers, the JT9 weighs only 365 grams. The ergonomic design is intended for comfortable, extended listening and can be folded for easier transport and storage.

The JT9 comes with both a 3.5mm single-ended and a 4.4mm balanced cable. It also includes a special water-resistant carrying case. The headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified and available in black and dark brown.
