iFi Audio UP Play
Give Bluetooth audio a major upgrade
The iFi Audio UP Play is an ultra-compact Bluetooth transmitter that gives smartphones, tablets, computers, and other compatible devices access to a much wider range of high-quality Bluetooth codecs. Connect the UP Play, and you’re no longer limited to the codecs supported by your source device by default. This allows you to get the most out of compatible wireless headphones, IEMs, and Bluetooth DACs.
Hi-Res Bluetooth with LDAC and aptX
The UP Play supports various Bluetooth codecs, including LDAC and aptX Adaptive for wireless Hi-Res Audio. This is particularly useful for devices that natively support only a limited number of codecs. For example, with an iPhone or iPad—which normally relies primarily on AAC for Bluetooth audio—the UP Play makes it possible to use compatible headphones and receivers with high-quality codecs.
K2 Technology for a More Natural Sound
In addition to expanding Bluetooth capabilities, the UP Play features JVCKENWOOD K2 Technology. This technology was developed to reconstruct harmonic information that can be lost during digitization. The goal is a more natural and richer sound with greater detail and depth. K2 can be easily activated via the iFi Nexis app.
Two Headphones at Once
With Dual Headphone Pairing, two wireless headphones or sets of earbuds can be connected to the UP Play at the same time. This allows you, for example, to listen to the same music or watch a movie together. When using two pairs of headphones simultaneously, the SBC codec is used.
Also for gaming, movies, and calls
The iFi Nexis app offers a special low-latency mode to minimize the delay between video and audio. This makes the UP Play suitable not only for music, but also for gaming and watching movies and TV shows. A built-in microphone also allows you to make phone calls or communicate while gaming. Thanks to its compact size, the UP Play is easy to carry and can be used both on the go and with a desktop computer.
