iFi Audio UP Play Max

Lossless Bluetooth for virtually any device

The iFi Audio UP Play Max is a compact Bluetooth transmitter that gives smartphones, tablets, and computers access to a wide range of high-quality Bluetooth codecs. While many devices are limited to just a few standard codecs, the UP Play Max makes aptX Lossless and LDAC, among others, available. This allows compatible wireless headphones, IEMs, and Bluetooth DACs to be used to their full potential, without relying on the Bluetooth capabilities of the source device.

aptX Lossless with CD-quality audio

A key difference from the standard UP Play is support for aptX Lossless. This allows compatible devices to receive CD-quality lossless audio wirelessly. This is particularly interesting for iPhone and iPad users, as Apple devices primarily use AAC for standard Bluetooth audio. For Android devices as well, the UP Play Max provides broader codec support and a consistent connection with various headphones and Bluetooth DACs.

K2 Technology for a More Natural Sound

The UP Play Max also features JVCKENWOOD K2 Technology. This technology reconstructs harmonic information that can be lost during digitization, with the goal of restoring more detail, depth, and a more natural character to the music. K2 can be easily activated and configured via the iFi Nexis app.

Auracast and two pairs of headphones at once

In addition to Dual Headphone Pairing, which allows two wireless headphones to be connected simultaneously, the UP Play Max also supports Auracast. This feature enables the same audio signal to be streamed to an unlimited number of compatible Auracast devices. That makes it easy to share music, movies, or other audio with multiple listeners.

Also great for gaming and everyday use

The iFi Nexis app offers a special low-latency mode to minimize the delay between video and audio, making it ideal for gaming and video. The built-in microphone can be used for phone calls and communication while gaming. Thanks to its ultra-compact size, the UP Play Max works just as easily with a smartphone as it does with a laptop or desktop computer.
