Functionality

This ZEN CAN is suitable for any type of headphones and is equipped with a 6.3mm and a 4.4mm Pentaconn headphone connection. iFi has placed a gain switch on the front that amplifies in 6dB steps from 0dB, 6dB, 12dB to 18dB. Set the gain to 0dB for in-ear headphones and switch to maximum gain if you have planar headphones that are difficult to drive. Especially for open-back headphones, where the bass response decreases in direct proportion to the frequency, iFi has implemented XBass, which amplifies the bass and sub-bass in such a way that a linear frequency response is created to the ear.
