The iFi Audio NEO iDSD 3 is an extremely versatile high-end DAC, headphone amplifier, and preamplifier in one compact housing, designed to effortlessly form the heart of a desktop, headphone, or speaker system. As the third generation in the NEO series, this model builds on the purist design of its predecessors, but with redesigned hardware and refined software for even greater musicality and more accurate reproduction.
At its heart is a fully balanced PureWave dual-mono architecture with a newly selected operational amplifier and improved WIMA MKS2 and polymer capacitors, resulting in extremely low distortion, cleaner power supply, and smoother high-frequency response. The NEO iDSD 3 supports native hi-res audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and delivers over 2,500 mW RMS output power, enough to drive even demanding headphones with ease. Four gain settings ensure optimal matching with both sensitive IEMs and heavy over-ear models.
New to this generation is the integration of JVCKENWOOD's K2HD Technology, with switchable K2 and K2HD modes that restore lost harmonic information in digital recordings and provide a richer, more natural sound image. For further sound tuning, XBass II, XSpace, and XPresence are also available, allowing you to subtly adjust bass response, spaciousness, and presence to suit your headphones or listening preferences.
In terms of connectivity, the NEO iDSD 3 is ready for modern setups: Bluetooth 5.4 with support for aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, and LDHC/HWA, an improved RCA line input, balanced and unbalanced outputs, and full support as a DAC, preamp, or headphone amplifier. The included iPower2 power supply with Active Noise Cancellation guarantees a quiet and stable power supply.
The compact chassis can be placed horizontally or vertically, with the 2-inch color display automatically rotating to match. With over-the-air firmware updates and control via the iFi Nexis app, the NEO iDSD 3 is ready for the future—an elegant, powerful, and flexible audio hub for those who want uncompromising listening.
