iBasso DX270 R2R Ultra

The iBasso DX270 R2R Ultra is a groundbreaking digital audio player that completely redefines R2R decoding with its R2R Ultra architecture, designed for exceptional linearity and ultra-low distortion. The device combines a 20-bit R2R DAC with a 4-bit String DAC in an 8-channel fully differential design, supported by FPGA-Master 3.0 with proprietary algorithms and four digital filters, achieving a dynamic range of 130 dB and a THD+N of better than -97 dB. This design eliminates traditional zero-crossing distortion and delivers natural, detailed, and stable sound reproduction, even at low volumes.

The DX270 R2R Ultra system uses a hybrid R2R + String DAC architecture, with 344 high-precision resistor elements – almost twice as many as standard R2R designs – resulting in a refined, pure, and organic sound. The combination of FPGA-Master 3.0, dual femtosecond Accusilicon clocks, and a hardware resistor compensation network optimizes THD+N, increases dynamic range, and minimizes unwanted distortion, so subtle instrumental harmonies and vocal nuances are perfectly reproduced. The fully differential design and precise calibration reduce zero-crossing distortion to an impressively low level of -120 dB, enabling an exceptionally clear and realistic listening experience.

In addition to advanced R2R technology, the DX270 runs on Android 13 with a refined user interface and offers Mango OS, a Linux-based music system with advanced audio optimizations that minimizes WiFi and Bluetooth interference and reduces CPU usage. The device supports external 12V DC power supply and features 4.4 mm balanced and 3.5 mm single-ended outputs, making it compatible with both IEMs and full-size headphones. With a compact housing measuring 136 x 73.5 x 19 mm and weighing 265 g, the DX270 comes with a USB-C cable, coaxial cable, burn-in cable, leather protective case, 12V AC adapter, screen protector, warranty card, and quick start guide, making it a complete high-end portable audio set.
