Compact tube preamplifier and headphone amplifier

The Fosi Audio P3 is a compact tube preamplifier that combines a classic tube sound with modern connectivity options. The P3 can be used between a source and a power amplifier or active speakers, but also features a built-in headphone amplifier. This makes it a versatile addition to both a desktop and a stereo system.

Genuine 5654W tube amplification

The P3 uses two interchangeable 5654W vacuum tubes, with the internal preamp circuit boosting the operating voltage to 54V. This ensures that the tubes are actually used as part of the amplifier circuit. The result is the characteristic warm and full-bodied sound of a tube preamp. The tubes can also be replaced, making it possible to experiment with different compatible tubes and further tailor the sound to your personal taste.

Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and aptX LL

In addition to the analog RCA input, the Fosi Audio P3 features Bluetooth 5.1 with a Qualcomm QCC3031 chip. Support for SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Low Latency makes it easy to stream music wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. aptX LL minimizes latency, which is also useful for movies and other video content.

Headphone Output and Flexible Connections

On the front panel is a 3.5mm headphone jack compatible with headphones with an impedance of 16 to 300 ohms. The maximum output power is 250 mW at 16 ohms and 150 mW at 32 ohms. On the back, in addition to the RCA input, there are both RCA and AUX outputs, allowing the P3 to be easily connected to a power amplifier, active speakers, or a subwoofer, for example.

Customize the Sound Yourself

With separate controls for bass and treble, the sound can be adjusted directly to your personal preferences or to match your speakers. In the neutral middle position, the tone control is effectively disabled. Fosi Audio also uses ELNA capacitors and a Taper A volume potentiometer. With a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 103 dB and a THD of no more than 0.02%, the P3 combines its warm tube character with quiet and precise signal processing.
