FIIO Air Amp

The FIIO Air Amp is a compact streaming amplifier that combines a powerful Class D power amplifier, a high-quality DAC, and extensive networking features in a single device. With 2 × 120 watts of power at 4 ohms, support for Roon Ready, AirPlay, and Bluetooth with LDAC, the Air Amp offers everything needed for a modern stereo system with passive speakers. Thanks to its compact size, it’s suitable for both a desktop setup and a full-fledged hi-fi system in the living room.

Powerful Class D Amplification with PFFB

The Air Amp utilizes a Texas Instruments TPA3255 Class D amplifier with a special PFFB (Post-Filter Feedback) circuit. This technology reduces distortion and ensures a stable frequency response across different speaker loads. With the included 48V/5A power supply, the amplifier delivers 120 watts per channel at 4 ohms or 90 watts at 8 ohms. With an optional 48V/10A power supply, the power output can be further increased to a maximum of 235 watts per channel at 4 ohms.

High-Quality DAC and Hi-Res Audio

For digital signal processing, FIIO combines an ESS ES9020Q DAC with an XMOS XU316 USB interface. This allows the Air Amp to support music files up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512 via USB. The carefully designed audio circuits and high-quality components contribute to low distortion, high dynamic range, and detailed music reproduction.

Streaming and Local Music Playback

The Air Amp supports Roon Ready, AirPlay, and QPlay, making it easy to play music over your home network. It also features dual-band Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC for high-quality wireless music playback.

Local music files can also be played directly from a USB flash drive, external hard drive, or NAS. Music libraries and playback functions are easily accessible via the FIIO Control app. Streaming and local playback support resolutions up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256.

Extensive connectivity options

With seven input options and three outputs, the Air Amp is easy to integrate into a wide variety of audio systems. In addition to USB, optical, coaxial, and analog RCA inputs, it features speaker terminals, a subwoofer output, and an analog line output. This allows for the connection of both digital and analog audio sources and enables expansion with an active subwoofer.

Customize Your Sound

The Air Amp features a 10-band parametric equalizer, AUTO EQ, and separate settings for bass and treble. Using the FIIO Control app or web interface, the sound output can be precisely tuned to the speakers in use, the room, and personal preferences.

The compact aluminum enclosure measures just 207 × 188 × 42 mm and features a 1.1-inch display and two multifunctional rotary knobs. The included remote control makes it easy to adjust the volume, select the input source, and control sound settings, among other functions.
